Welfare and Safeguarding at Washington NSG Athletic

Cheryl Sugden became Club Welfare Officer in early 2018. Cheryl's professional career has seen her deal with safeguarding issues day in and day out for elderly and vulnerable adults, enabling her to offer the Club a huge depth of knowledge and experience. Cheryl is fully qualified as a CWO through the Football Association, a charter standard club requirement.

The Club acknowledges it’s responsibility to safeguard the welfare of every child and young person who has been entrusted to it’s care, and is committed to working to provide a safe environment for all members. We subscribe to The Football Association’s Safeguarding Children - Policy and Procedures, and endorse and adopt the Policy Statement contained in that document.
